To confirm before launch: VAT: the proposal is prices plus VAT, so Smeo Start would be £12 a month with VAT. This depends on SMEO's VAT registration, which is not confirmed yet.

Help from a person is real, and it is not open-ended. The setup step and the check before going live are part of every plan. Design work and changes made for you are optional paid help, agreed with you first.

Blog posts and the search title and description for each page are part of every paid plan. They are not kept back for Smeo Grow.

Essential undo and security are never sold as extras: Undo and Redo, bin and restore, the review before publishing, and your website being visible only to you in Studio are part of every plan.

Trying it first

Building a draft costs nothing and needs no account. Otis, the live preview, the looks, colour palettes and font styles, licensed stock photos and the four starting pages are all there today.

Your homepage direction is free too. It is a demo made by our rules, not AI. Personalised AI directions are being tested with invited accounts.

The proposal is that a free draft stays editable for 30 days. Going live, Studio and your own photos come with a paid plan.

Extras and optional help

All of these are proposed, and none can be bought yet.

Another mailbox: £2.50 + VAT a month for one more 10GB mailbox, with aliases. A larger 50GB mailbox is still being priced. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace is a separate licence you buy from them directly.

Help from a person: if you would like the team to add your own words and photos, make design changes for you, or move pages from an old website, the proposal is £60 + VAT an hour, agreed with you before any work starts. It is optional, and the proposal is that it is never needed to get your website live.

Extra AI work: the proposal is that any extra AI task shows its price before it runs, and a task that fails is not charged.

No compulsory "Built with SMEO" footer on paid plans.

Selling online, later

A shop is more work than a website, and we would rather price that honestly than switch on a plugin and hope. Checkout, payments, shipping, tax, orders and the emails that go with them all need setting up, testing and support, and shop add-ons have licences that need renewing.

So Smeo Shop is planned as its own service on WooCommerce, scoped and costed separately. The plan: a short list of add-ons checked to work together, changes tested on a private copy of your website before they go live, with a way back, and shop screens in Studio that are simple to use.

None of it is built. Nothing is installed and no payments are switched on, so there is no shop price yet.

Money, leaving and the small print

Can I buy any of this today?

No. This pricing is a proposal, there is no checkout, and nothing is for sale yet. You can still build a free draft today.

Is there a contract?

The proposal is month to month: cancel any time, and your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for. You could also pay yearly, £120 + VAT for Smeo Start, with your domain included from day one. None of this is final until pricing is confirmed.

Is there a setup fee?

Not in this proposal. Setting your website up on WordPress is part of every paid plan. Optional help from a person, such as adding your own words and photos, is priced separately and agreed with you first.

Can I take my website with me if I leave?

That is the intention. Because it is a WordPress website, the proposal is that you can ask for a standard WordPress export of your pages, blog posts and photos, which another WordPress host can import. Pages built with Elementor need Elementor installed there too. Your domain is registered in your name, so it stays yours. A self-serve export button in Studio is planned.

Are domains included?

In the proposal, yes: one .co.uk or .uk domain, registered in your name and renewed while you subscribe. On the monthly plan, the first year's domain is paid once, at cost, when you sign up. On the yearly plan it is included from day one. If you leave, the domain stays yours. Domains are planned and not set up yet.

Do you provide email accounts?

Not yet. The proposal includes one 10GB mailbox on Smeo Start and three on Smeo Grow, with aliases. Mailboxes are planned and not set up yet. For Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, you would buy a licence from them directly.

Do the prices include VAT?

The proposal is prices plus VAT, so Smeo Start would be £12 a month with VAT. That depends on SMEO's VAT registration, which is still being confirmed.

What help is included?

SMEO has a real UK team, and a person checks every website before it goes live. Beyond that, the proposal is help with your questions on every plan, and on Smeo Grow a review of the monthly findings and up to 3 agreed page improvements a month. Design work and changes made for you beyond that are optional paid help. Contact details are being confirmed, so we are not quoting response times.

Can I sell online?

Not yet. Smeo Shop is planned as a separate service with its own price, because a shop needs checkout, payments, shipping, tax and order emails set up, tested and supported. Nothing for it is installed and no payments are switched on today.

Why are the AI allowances limited?

Every AI request has a real cost, so each plan has a set number of AI tasks, described as pages and edits rather than points. AI help is planned and not live yet.
